Portfolio Management

A portfolio approach is powerful when used as a dynamic refinement – or replacement – of lists of “top” or “key” e.g. relationships (i.e. Pareto-based).

2×2 matrices powerfully express and make sense of complex situations, and this makes them ideal tools for many aspects of portfolio management:

  • Visually positioning and segmenting value-net partners, and highlighting their unique needs.
  • Adopting appropriate management styles, including facilitating the application of best practice.
  • Iterative re-balancing of the portfolio.
  • Optimising the deployment of scarce and valuable relationship management resources.

One example is the Partner Portfolio Manager.
