Collaborative Working

As organisations fragment, adapt and reconfigure to meet rapidly changing market situations, the need for internal and external collaborative support grows.  The appropriate intensity of collaborative working can be gauged using portfolio management tools to position the relationship.

ISO 44001 is the new international standard for collaborative working – incorporating the three-phase, eight-stage model of the equivalent previous BS11000 standard – and the Collaborative Working Toolkit utilises NIP’s Diagnostic & Assessment Management Framework, providing “one stop” access to the common functionality required to manage a variety of diagnostic tools and processes:

  • Web-based service, managed by NIP, but can be run by an external consultant or taken ‘in-house’.
  • Automatic participant invitation and progression process (deadlines, reminders, etc).
  • Capture of parameter scoring and related issues.
  • Reporting at multiple levels – individual diagnostics, portfolios, etc.

One particular set of tools that has been implemented in the framework is the ICW’s CRAFT Toolkit.
